Find a Cable

  1. Armoured

Twisted pair or triple, V90-HT insulated, element and overall Al/polyester screened with drain wire, 5V-90 bedding, SWA, black PVC 5V-90 sheathed.
  2. Bare overheads

Overhead conductors in common use around Australia and are available in all aluminium, aluminium alloy, copper and galvanised or aluminium clad steel constructions.
  3. Bend-insensitive MaxCap OMx

MaxCap-BB-OMx combines two of our industry-leading technologies: MaxCap high bandwidth multimode fibre and BendBright bend-insensitive single-mode optical fibre technology. MaxCap-BB-OM2 / OM2+ / OM3 / OM4 optical fibres support compact cable management. This new class of MaxCap multimode fibre combines the support of improved fibre management, with high bandwidth 10G – 40G – 100G system requirements. Improved flexibility for MACs (Moves, Adds, Changes) applied in Local Area Network (LAN) backbones up to 550m (10GBASE-SX), in Data Centres up to 170m at 40G/100G speeds (40GBASE-SR4 and 100GBASE-SR10).
  4. CableMate®

Our new CableMate® – always there when you need it. A real mate is someone to rely on when times are tough. So is our new compact CableMate®. Only 80 cm high when folded, but strong as few when you need a helping hand with a 500 metre reel of flats or orange circulars. Not only does it save your back – it also makes your everyday work more simple, comfortable and installations faster. What more can you ask from a real workmate?
  5. Central Tube

This Loose tube dielectric optical cable is designed for external underground installations in ducts by pulling, jetting or floating techniques or by direct burial in open-cut trenches. The cable is designed for installation in areas where mechanical impact is expected. Two types of sheaths can be provided with the Central Loosetube Optical Cable: - UV stabilised Low Smoke Zero Halogen (LS0H), flame retardant compound in compliance with AS 1049. - UV stabilised Polyethylene (PE) in compliance with AS 1049. Two ripcords are provided beneath the sheath for easy removal. For a more detailed description, please download our datasheet(s) / brochure. Alternatively our contact details are listed below if you wish to speak to a Prysmian Product Specialist for further information.
  6. CLICK-FIT®

The CLICK-FIT® plug-in concept is a unique system designed to connect high and extra-high-voltage extruded power cables for 72 kV up to 420 kV. Important features are high reliability combined with fast, easy and man-independent installation techniques that lead to a reduction in project realization time and cost. Following the principle of the CLICK-FIT® concept, the ends of the cables are prepared and provided with plugs. The uniform plug design enables the installation of joints and terminations simply by plugging-in the prepared cable end.

  8. Compact Multi-function Joint (CMJ)

Compact Multi-function Joints (CMJ) are for jointing of optical fibre cables up to 144 fibres. Our new range of joints is designed to integrate state of the art features into very cost effective products. They not only save you money, but are also designed to eliminate heat shrink thus no need for a heat source in the field during installation. Using Mechanical Seals to terminate the cables lowers OH&S risks and negates risk of fires. Not only are the new joints fully compatible with all current cable technologies employed in Australia and New Zealand, they have also been designed to be ready for the new and emerging cable technologies, such as Prysmian’s FlexTube. CMJ Features Compact dome closure joint for up to...
